That's exactly why, over the last few weeks, we've been asking you to share your favourite KOO recipes with us. And this week on the Expresso Morning Show on SABC 3, there was one recipe in particular that Chef Alice and the Expresso team were very excited to recreate, and taste.
A delicious take on an old classic, one of our KOO fans made use of KOO Unsweetened Pie Apples and KOO Pears Halves to create a delectable Walnut, Apple and Pear Upside-Down Tart.
As with all Upside-Down cakes, Chef Alice started from the bottom up, building a delicious top layer of KOO Pears, dotted with cubed KOO Apples and sprinkled with a generous helping of walnuts. Alice demonstrated how any nuts could be used, as she throws in a good sprinkling of her favourite, pecan nuts!
