KOO CHAKALAKA TURKEY

KOO CHAKALAKA TURKEY

Ingredients:

  • 1,5 kg turkey meat, cooked
  • 10 ml sunflower oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 1 can All Gold Chopped Peeled Tomatoes
  • 500 ml hot water
  • 1 sachet concentrated chicken wet stock
  • 15 ml All Gold Superfine Apricot Jam
  • 3 ml salt
  • 5 ml freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 can KOO Mixed Vegetables , drained
  • 10 g coriander, roughly chopped for serving
  • 1 can KOO Cross Cut Green Beans

Heavy based sauce pan

Method:

  1. Heat the oil in a large, heavy-based saucepan, and fry the onion and garlic until soft.
  2. Reduce the heat and add the chakalaka, chopped peeled tomatoes, water, concentrated chicken wet stock and All Gold Superfine Apricot Jam.
  3. Simmer on a gentle heat until the sauce has thickened. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  4. Add the cooked turkey meat, mixed vegetables and green beans into the curry sauce. Allow to simmer gently until heated through.
  5. Serve hot, garnish with chopped coriander.
