Apple Dream Tart

Apple Dream Tart

Ingredients:

Tart

  • 250 ml sugar
  • 45 ml butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 60 ml milk
  • 250 ml Golden Cloud Cake Flour
  • 5 ml baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 can KOO Unsweetened Pie Apple Slices, drained

Sauce

  • 250 ml sugar
  • 250 ml cream
  • 10 ml vanilla essence
  • 3 tbsp butter

Method:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  2. Cream the sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Add eggs and mix well.
  3. Add milk and mix thoroughly again.
  4. Sift the flour, baking powder and salt together, and add to the butter mixture. Mix thoroughly and pour into a lightly greased oven dish.
  5. Spread apple slices evenly over the batter.
  6. Bake for an hour until golden brown and cooked.
  7. Meanwhile, heat the sugar, vanilla and cream slowly, stirring occasionally until the sugar is melted, add the butter and stir until melted.
  8. Heat to boiling point and simmer for about 5 minutes.
  9. Drizzle over the hot tart as soon as it is removed from the oven.
  10. Serve with whipped cream, ice cream, or custard.
